| Okay guys, you play my server, you abide by my rules. There aren't many, so I hope we can all remain friends. Any and all infractions against these rules will immediately result in a permanent ban of the account(s) involved, no questions asked (as long as we have solid evidence) and no "second chances". We will not, however, IP ban anyone unless absolutely necessary.
Terms of Service
Because this is a free server and all you lose with a ban is rank, ALL VIOLATIONS WILL RESULT IN AN ACCOUNT PERMANENT BAN, no questions, no mercy. Please be aware of this and follow all posted rules, and play nice.
- 1. No cheating of any kind tolerated- this includes hacks, exploits, abusing glitches, and anything else that gets you an unfair advantage over most other players.
- 2. Do not stat pad- this is defined as killing your own character(s) on the opposite faction to gain unfair rank. We can track IPs easily. Even if you delete the character, we can find it. Just don't do it.
- 3. Do not speed or range hack. If anyone catches you with a video (and we can tell the difference between "lag" and "hack"), you will be instantly perma-banned.
- 4. There are no "safe zones" on a pvp map. You may be killed anywhere, even on the spawn point. If you want to be "safe", go to your guild house, Bootleg (AH), or capitol.
- 5. Respect the staff. The GMs, of course, are here to help. Any GSes there might be are simply there to watch and make sure no one gets completely out of line- and they will have blue toons like on Haven, with minimal admin powers, to stop and/or silence players who get too rowdy (but no ability to spawn items or summon people).
- 6. Free Shaiya is a free-for-all server. You may go where you like, say what you like, kill whomever you like, and do pretty much whatever you like. The only boundary to this is: Stay in line, within reason. We will leave it to the GSes to decide when it has gone too far in public chats, or deal with reports ourselves with screenshots of private chats. But please, even though there are no language rules, be civil.
- 7. Multi-clienting in pvp is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. We mistakenly made MC possible with the initial download, but it has been removed, and anyone caught with more than one character in the same pvp zone, or afked on any toons getting kills/deaths while other toons are online, will have all accounts IMMEDIATELY PERMANENTLY BANNED. If you are logged on multiple toons in multiple zones, keep the ones you are not playing in base or a safe map, not tagged to somone "stat padding" for afk kills.
- 8. No staff impersonation, for any reason, ever. This includes names with GS, GM, GMA, Dev, Admin, or any other staff title in them, or falsely claiming to be a staff member, or ever talking about being a staff member.
Remember, if you play here, these rules apply to you. No exceptions. Besides that... have fun!!
