An idea for a completely new type of PvP

okay, its not that new as its very similiar used in other MMORPGs, but it was (as far as i know) never done before in shaiya.
Castle Sieges.

You may think now: How can we do castle sieges, we dont have castles or something like that, and we cant do it like in other games.

well, first off, the 2nd point is true, but theres a solution, and it solves problem No. 1 aswell... we DO have castles we can battle for.
im talking of the UNUSED PvE MAPS! biggrin
Imagine Map 3 dark:
Arena Stronghold is the castle, the gate in the north-east + a part of the spinterr Resistance Camp is the light spawn, the portal in the south + merukes the dark spawn.
the Mobs on the map get deleted (or better: replaced by stronger mobs, to make it all a bit harder :P), the NPCs in Arena (guards as well) and Merukes deleted, too, and replaced by others: in Arena: 2 Gatekeepers, 1 porting to Light Spawn, 1 to dark spawn (of course only the right faction can use them), and in the spawns Gatekeepers which lead to the capitals (where should be gatekeepers which port the raids to the map, too).
the portals on the spawns get redefined, so that they lead into Arena Stronghold IF the faction owns 1 specific relic.
and that relic is the main part of the siege. It should stand in the middle of Arena Stronghold, should be rather strong to withstand some attacks, and spawn its guards (which should be stronger aswell) on the spots where the One Hit Guards would stand usually...

hmm... quite a wall of text, so, in short:
In Arena Stronghold should be a relic. the faction that owns it, owns the Stronghold, their Relic Guards are spawned there to guard the town, but the faction needs to defend the castle, too. if one faction owns the relic, the portal at their spawn gets opened, which leads into the stronghold (make it easier to get there after dying). if the other faction kills the relic, they need to kill the defending faction and can take over the stronghold. then their portal gets activated, and the other factions portal gets deactivated. then it goes vice versa.

i hope you understand what i mean laugh

i think this kind of PvP would be very interesting, especially PvPing on a map thats usually not a PvP map :P

That is the most unique idea I have ever seen for Shaiya o.o

Although it would be awesome and I would play here more, I doubt it will be implemented. As admins said before, they don't really want to work on this server and all of what you mentioned would be a lot of work. They wouldn't have enough time for Haven which is what they want to concentrate on.

Well how about different lvl of pvp

Atm is only 60 there is no 30 15 pvp i think they should add more stuff like u have to get to rank 4 in 30 and 15 pvp before u can go on to 60 allowing all the pvp zones to be more active becuase 60 can get a lil dull at times.

+ we could start having muiti kill on weekends and certain rewards for Events like Winning side gets next rank up and cool stuff like that

and yes the idea of siege would be fantasic we could even to capture the flag or kill the king like events but as Krypton said we dont think that the admims have much intent on adding to the server proboly only event will be added later but still it is a fantastic idea

well, i have 1-15 toons, and we got the 1-15 zones, but last time i logged in, we had 60 PvP in Proelium -.-' the problem is, that the PvP maps can be reached by gatekeepers, which dont have a level cap for the zones, what makes 1-15 toons and 20-30 toons quite useless

im against multi kill events, i think its just unfair bc you get kills you simply do not deserve, i hate servers which have multi kill all day or weekends... sometimes, for one day a multi kill event, thats okay, but not regularly, and not always...

a pvp rank reward would be awesome, i always loved that concept since it came up with Rebirth E-HR, but only a few servers have it, bc its so much work, and that might be the problem here.

its easy for a player to make such maps himself and hand them out to the admins to implement them, but making a rank reward system is only possible for the admins themselves

Sure some of these are good ideas but at the same time the GM's already said that they were not gonna do much to this sever it's basically just a back up for when having shut down or just to hang out and PVp in the maps already givin.
