| So, just like it says, why is Free so unpopular if it's completely, 100%, totally free with no donator advantage, like everyone has always claimed they wanted (but obviously not, because our population is pathetically low)?
Any ideas, suggestions, or general feedback will be taken into consideration. We are paying a lot of money every month for 40-80 people online at a time, and we really would like for this server to succeed. So, besides cleaning the place up (of hacker/padders/etc) and getting more daily staff involvement, what can we do that you think will make people want to play here? No idea is too outrageous to throw out there; even if we reject it, we might get some other brilliant idea out of it, so bring on the crazy plans!

I agree w/ getting more active GS's throughout the day though. We do need one on at almost all times just the problem is getting the right people (bad GS's would be worse than no GS's)
Removing wall climb is actually not a bad idea at this point. People rely on it way too much anymore and it does make DD1/Jungle pvp harder to have. (have to reset the tele's again though because even I have 1 setup where you cant get w/o wall climb)
Adding ranged Guards outside Karis/Raigo, DD1 and Jungle safe zones also is a good idea since you can outrun the melee guards w/ sonics in your boots.
Also the clearing of K/D was suggested only if we were to have an Ironman event so we'd have an even playing field, wouldn't make any sense otherwise XD

This server needs to stick to what it was about too, All of you guys saying to add lapis and stuff to "farm" are missing the point.

Not every old player earned those kills 1 by 1 seeing as how this server had a 2x multiplier in the past.

Well first i think that pvp is unbalanced but that is something only time can fix, secondly Karis Guards for crying out loud... seriously fury's can walk right into our castle killing everyone inside.. so place some more guards PLZ. as a third mabye remove the 60 skills? Dying by a 60 skill is, a player of the game should and could know, very irritating. And DF and EB aren't bad at all if you would remove every 60 skill but Dayfly and Etain's Bless i think that would give some more Defenders/Guardians and Priest/Oracles to the game aswell which would only be better for pvp. That's how i think about it ( Hope something gets done about the karis guards tho!!! )

I agree with this so much, especially when you take away effective enchanting. Adding more and more stats changes nothing really, if you suck, you will still suck. If you are decent, you will still be decent, if you are uber, you will still be uber. If you are good with pvp tactics, you will still be good at pvp tactics, the only difference is you hit harder on people with more hp, big whoop. Same goes for ep5 skills. No need for that.
On the thing about removing move runes, how does that at all help? Do you really want to spend half your time running from spawn to med/karis|raigo/whatever other place pvp is taking place at? Honestly, this is the most foolish suggestion I've ever seen on shaiya, and I've seen some pretty bad ones. We want to PVP so we come to a full free pvp server not to run around constantly after getting 60/eraser'd over and over (more time running=more time between pvp encounters=60's/erasers etc being up during more clashes=even more running around..... ) I get the idea behind it, but seriously that will just make the 60/eraser whoring worse and put less focus on PVP on a PVP server, and more on running around which is boring as hell.
As for the suggestion about bosses, I think the idea is decent, since it doesn't really give an overpowering advantage. However, it still defeats the purpose of the server, which is supposed to be a completely free, completely balanced gear server. Yes, you can argue that anyone could get the new stuff, but it still caters to the more hardcore players, which again goes against the entire purpose of the server. From the main page for the server: "If you want a simple server where you can simply log in, gear up, and kick ass, then this is the server for you. We don't expect this to be anyone's "main" server, it's just a place to hang out, relax, and get some kills earned on the p-server world's FIRST completely even playing field."
PvP rewards would almost certainly break this as well, though I am sure there are ways to make it worth while, with Tags and different (but equal stats/rerolls etc) gear.

Agree. Yes, farming does defeats the purpose of an "instant" PvP server. Running around a whole PvP map to just get 60ed/Eraser would be frustrating. So removing Movement Runes would be a mistake.
I think just adding new custom gear with same stats, reduce the chance of success for 60 skills/eraser, increase the cool time of those skills and rewarding PvPers with Tags, would increase population in the server.
A x2 kill multiplier is not really need it and could, perhaps, result in a backfire.

| I support Demi with his opinion.. it wont fix this problem 100% but it will be ALOT better.. becouse honestly pvp had become SO lame and SO predictable that its not even worth hoping and bothering to make it a bit more fun.

| -Increase kill multiplier. It is silly but seeing your reward (new rank) closer, keeps you playing. Make it x5 or even x10, and multiply the current kills of every player by that number. -Remove wall climb. It is simply pointless. -Decrease cooldown time on movement runes. -Add some variety on armors. Make every single set from level 46 on have the same stats as level 53 goddess. This allows some customization while preserving EP4 essence. Also it is no big deal, just some database work, no photoshop no nothing. -Add some kind of REWARD to those who only PvP in one faction (instead of punishing or limiting those who want to play both). You could, for example keep the x10 kill multiplier on first account created on that IP, and give the following ones a lower x5. It is simple and quite easy to bypass, but also the first thing that came to my mind and will probably prevent 90% of the kids that play dualfaction game from killing the server. -Provide information to players when server is going down and when will it be back up. Respect your players. -Fix the freacking "account doesn't exist" error. -Make some events. Hide and seeks, naked PvP's or something like that.
Now let's see what happens.
