| So, just like it says, why is Free so unpopular if it's completely, 100%, totally free with no donator advantage, like everyone has always claimed they wanted (but obviously not, because our population is pathetically low)?
Any ideas, suggestions, or general feedback will be taken into consideration. We are paying a lot of money every month for 40-80 people online at a time, and we really would like for this server to succeed. So, besides cleaning the place up (of hacker/padders/etc) and getting more daily staff involvement, what can we do that you think will make people want to play here? No idea is too outrageous to throw out there; even if we reject it, we might get some other brilliant idea out of it, so bring on the crazy plans!

| It's unpopular due to quite a few reasons, but if we add some things to obtain popularity it will mean to add capital. Basically people like the free things, yes, but the down part is that because there is no staff people go off the handle with cheats and exploits and basically whoever joins the server does one thing, pvp > get bored > leave.
Solutions are many but they all mean payments. People want mobs, custom drops, custom armors events so on so forth. Thing they dont realise is that it requires loads of editing. Editing means time and time means payment of service. No one puts time into something that isn't going to return at least some sort of revenue. For it's worth a free server like this one running with minimal lagg is pretty good the way it is if u ask me. As far as voting goes it's only a matter of perspective, some people like ep4 some dont, so even if we get higher in the list there's a chance we may get abundant traffic which also means more data in the db and more bandwidth required more lagg in general.
How do we go about this server then? It's simple. people that are on top of the rankings get a tag. Each week the tags get reset. There's our incentive/motive to pvp. Secondly bless based pvp events, i.e whoever obtains more kills wins and gets x amount of time of bless. That way whoever gives up first loses, or logs out or whatever the reason may be. As far as the tags go, if possible we could do a 'most kills this month' tag as well. Each class based or faction based. As the GMs see fit.
This is something that would obtain more traffic with minimal effort ( note: minimal not none at all). Also the tags can be revised each month or 2 weeks depending again on how the gms see fit. Hopefully these are useful in some extent. Thank you guys for a wonderful pvp server and keep the awesome work

| Great idea the one related to tags. But unfair for those who just joined. Should be more like "thoe one who gets the highest number of kill IN A WEEK gets a tag during the next week, then it resets. This way everyone will have the same chances.
Also tags could be different depending on the achievement. For example:
-If you got the highest number of kills, you get (PRO) -If you killed the most (which is different than getting kills), you get (KO) -if you got the least deaths (and a decent amount of kills), you get (INV)
And so on, but I insist, on a weekly basis.

| You'd need a data set of every toon that's ever been made in game, note down how many kills it has, then check every single toon again after 1 week. We're talking about tens of thousands of toons. I dont think it would be an easy querry to write.
I used to do this on a small scale for my guild in a spreadsheet. Make a list of 50 people, how many kills they got, and then check it again at the same time each day. It's a fair bit of work and i don't think the GM's would have time for it.

| I agree with creeps, hence why i kept it to the utmost basic tags instead of most actual kills and least deaths. Also it would be easier if it were just monitoring the tops of the charts i.e overall top ranker can be any class, where as the fighter class warrior class are separate but easy to obtain information. Thus keeping everything to a minimal input, yet giving results. As far as scripting goes I believe that's already done on the pvp rankings page, just browse to the wanted class - pick the top name and bang. Finding the UID in the DB shud be easy given the player's char name.
